Access to the website and client area implies full and unconditional acceptance of these General Terms of Use.
Scope
Rent a Site services are intended exclusively for professionals acting in the course of their commercial, craft, liberal or industrial activities.
The offer and hosting are sized for small businesses (TPE/SME) and reasonable traffic. Projects requiring very high traffic or dedicated infrastructure may be subject to a specific proposal (see General Terms of Sale).
The client acknowledges acting exclusively for professional purposes and cannot rely on consumer protection rules.
Obligations of the parties
Obligations of Rent a Site
- Build the website according to the agreed specifications
- Ensure hosting and availability of the site
- Carry out regular technical maintenance
- Provide technical support within the announced timeframes
- Perform regular backups
- Maintain the security of the site and hosting
Obligations of the client
- Pay invoices within the agreed deadlines
- Provide the content required to build the site
- Ensure the accuracy of the information provided
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
- Keep their login credentials confidential
- Report any malfunction as soon as possible
Intellectual property
Rent a Site offers website rental as part of a monthly subscription. The website is not sold to the client, who only benefits from a non‑exclusive licence to use it for the duration of the subscription.
Owned by Rent a Site
The source code, design, technical structure and architecture of the site remain the property of Rent a Site.
Owned by the client
Texts, images, logos and content provided by the client remain their exclusive property.
Termination
The client may terminate their subscription at any time by emailing contact@rentasite.fr or from their client area. Termination takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No pro‑rata refund is due for the period already started.
Rent a Site may terminate the subscription in case of non‑payment after formal notice, serious breach of these terms, or use/traffic incompatible with the scope of the services (see General Terms of Sale).
Applicable law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by French law.
In the event of a dispute between professionals, and after attempting an amicable resolution, only the courts of Dijon (France) shall have jurisdiction.
